Being able to connect your frame to a smartphone hotspot can come in handy in cases where a Wi-Fi is not available or for troubleshooting your frame's Wi-Fi connection.

Below are instructions on how to create a hotspot from your smartphone and how to connect the frame to the hotspot.

Hotspot on an iPhone

1. Go to Settings
2. Go to "Personal Hotspot"
3. Enable "Allow Others to Join" and set a Wi-Fi password
4. Note: If you have an iPhone 12 or later, make sure to enable the setting "Maximize Compatibility"

Hotspot on an Android

Steps may vary slightly between different Android phones

1. Go to Settings
2. Go to "Network & internet"
3. Go to "Hotspot & tethering"
4. Set up a hotspot with a name and a password and turn it on
5. Note: If you see a "Band" or "Advanced" setting, make sure to set the band to "2.4 GHz"
